Reclamation of asbestos and roof renovation in the historic center. Project, Dia and D.l.

Reclamation of asbestos cement roofing with asbestos fibers in a building in the historic center, it was an opportunity to equip the condominium with a new terrace for common use, parzialmente piantumata with Laurus nobilis, where to enjoy an unprecedented panorama of the city. The terracotta, inexpensive and environmentally friendly material of tiles and floors, and iron, handcrafted in the parapets and in the new technical staircase to access the roofs, they replaced the cement, to build a Roman terrace’ in the heart of Milan. In order not to damage the waterproofing, a self-supporting continuous parapet was designed, with comfortable seat and back. The drawn staircase is transparent’ leads to the 'bridge' terrace: meeting place, party or intimacy, in the future it will energize the common parts of the building with the installation, on the gabled roofing parts, of photovoltaic panels.
